NIP Nedeljnik, the company which owns the weekly news magazine Nedeljnik, was registered on 22nd August 2012. The magazine was initially published on a weekly basis as a supplement to the daily Serbian newspaper Press, but then went on to become independent. It is particularly well known for its long interviews with local and international leaders, which are its trademark. Once a month, Nedeljnik publishes supplements which contain articles from the New York Times, Le Mond Diplomatique and R magazine, owned by Russian state news agency Rossiya Segodnya.

Veljko Lalic began his career in journalism at the daily newspaper Večernje Novosti. Later, he moved to the daily newspaper Press, where he was the editor - in - chief. Lalic left Press around five months before it was wound down and went on to establish Nedeljnik.
