Blic Online was launched in 1999 and redesigned in 2007. The editorial policy of the portal follows the editorial line of the print edition of daily Blic. It is the most visited information portal in the country and is ranked first by numerous web analytics tracking services (Aleksa, SimilarWeb and Gemius).It is characterised by extensive media production, tabloid style and clickbait journalism. According to BIRN's database "Publicly on Public Calls", in 2020, the company Ringier Serbia received half a million dinars (approximately 4,500 USD) for one project from the city of Novi Sad in a public call for state monies.

Blic online is owned by Ringier Serbia, which has been 100% owned by Ringier Central and Eastern Europe AG, a Swiss media group operating in Central and Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa, since 2022. The majority owners of this company are brother and sister Michael Ringier and Evelyn Lingg-Ringier. They sold 25% of the stake to the insurance company Die Mobiliar in 2020. Mark Walder, the company's director, also holds a smaller stake.

Peter Kelbel and Aleksandar Lupšić

Prior to entering the media sector, was a spokesman in the government of Austrian Prime Minister Bruno Krajski. Together with Lupšić, he founded the daily Blic in 1996, and three years later, the portal was launched. Before arriving in Serbia, they tried establishing newspapers in Prague and Bratislava. Lupšić and Klebel left Blic in 2001 when the company was taken over by the German company Bertelsmann and later by the international company Ringier AG. After the founding of Blic, Klebel and Lupšić entered television production.

Jelena Drakulic Petrovic

has been with the company since 2004, when she started as brand manager of the daily newspaper Blic. From 2005 to 2008, she was involved in the expansion of the company's portfolio as Director of Marketing and Development and Director of Daily Editions. In July 2008, Drakulić-Petrović was appointed CEO of Ringier Serbia, a position she still holds today.
Drakulic Petrovic's name regularly appears on lists of the most powerful women in Serbia. She is an integral part of the traditional list of the "100 most powerful women in Serbia" published by the Blic daily around the New Year. In recent years, she has been ranked 15th on the list.
When Ringier opened what it claimed to be the most modern printing plant in the Balkans in 2013, the guest of honour at the opening was the then First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, who inaugurated the printing plant together with Drakulic Petrovic. Subsequently, in 2014, after the May floods in Obrenovac, Vucic and Drakulic Petrovic joined forces to help the affected citizens. Aleksandar Vucic, the President of Serbia, is a regular guest at Blic's birthday parties.
In August 2023, Drakulić Petrović became the owner of the weekly NIN, which was previously owned by the Ringier company. She now owns 99 per cent of the shares in the weekly, while the rest belongs to the founders and honorary owners.

Marko Stjepanović

Started working in Blic as a journalist in 1998. He was editor of the daily newspaper 24 Sata, editor-in-chief of all Internet editions in the company and editor-in-chief of Blic weekly. Stjepanović became deputy editor-in-chief of the integrated editorial office of Blic in October 2010 and editor-in-chief of the Blic portal in 2016.
