Radio S1
Radio S is the most listened to national radio, playing local popular music and short news bulletins every hour.
Zoran Anđelković Baki, a prominent official of the Socialist Party of Serbia, founded Radio S in 1996. In the 1990s, Radio S began broadcasting on the Radio Belgrade frequency, avoiding registration and public competition for the frequency. Frequency sharing agreements with RTS were common practice in the 1990s. The Socialist Party of Serbia owned Radio S until 2003, when a law came into force prohibiting political parties from owning media. Ljubinka Anđelković, the 72-year-old mother of Zoran Anđelković, became the new owner of Radio S and remained so until 2021.
Radio S was allocated a national frequency in the 2006 frequency allocation. At the time, it was speculated that Radio S did not meet the criteria of programme quality, financial transparency or advocacy for the development of broadcasting, but that it obtained the national frequency through political connections and contacts. Today, the S Radio Group also operates Radio S2, formerly Radio Index, Radio S3, formerly Radio Pingvin, Radio S4, formerly City Radio, as well as Radio S1 of Montenegro, Radio S3 of Montenegro and Radio S of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A high-ranking member of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), the founder of Radio S and a member of the Assembly of Shareholders of Serbian Railways since 2008. From January 2013 to March 2014, he was an MP, having replaced Ivica Tončev, who resigned. Anđelković, known by the nickname Baki, was also active in the League of Communists and its successor - the Socialist Party of Serbia. During the 1990s, he was Minister of Youth and Sports, and in 1998, he was appointed head of the Interim Executive Council for Kosovo and Metohija. In the Business Registers Agency, Zoran's children, Irena and Predrag Anđelković, are listed as the owners of the company S Media Team, one of the ultimate owners of Radio S. Previously, the official owner of this company was Anđelković’s mother Ljubinka. In Serbia, it is a common practice for politicians or high-ranking public officials to hide the true value of property by transferring ownership to close family members, relatives or lawyers.
By mid-2023, members of Anđelković's family owned two radios with national frequency – S and S2, formerly Radio Index, as well as Radio S3, formerly Radio Pingvin and Radio S4, formerly City Radio. Today, they are minority owners of all these media, and the majority owner is Bogdan Todorović, through the company S Controls. The S radio group is present across the Balkans in Montenegro with Radio S1 CG, Radio S3 CG and in Bosnia and Herzegovina with Radio S BiH.
In recent years, Zoran Anđelković has made more public appearances and often commented on political developments for the pro-government media, primarily on relations between Belgrade and Pristina. He is a member of the board of directors of the Janković and Andjelković Foundation and is a representative of the Research and Publishing Center for the Affirmation of the Protection of Human Rights and the Rights of Exiles from Kosovo and Metohija.
