Jelena Drakulić Petrović has been working for the company that publishes the daily newspaper Blic since 2004, when she started in the position of Brand Manager of the daily newspaper Blic. Between 2005 and 2008, she participated in the expansion of the company's portfolio as the Director of Marketing and Development and the Director of Daily Editions. In July 2008, Drakulić Petrović was appointed CEO of Ringier Serbia, a position she still holds today.

Drakulić Petrović's name regularly appears on the lists of the most powerful women in Serbia and is an integral part of the traditional list of the "100 most powerful women in Serbia" published by the Blic daily around the New Year. In recent years, she has been ranked 15th on the list.

In 2013, when Ringier opened what it said was the most modern printing plant in the Balkans, the guest of honour at the opening was the then first deputy prime minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, who opened the printing plant together with Drakulić Petrović. After that, in 2014, following the May floods in Obrenovac, Vucic and Drakulić Petrović helped the affected citizens. Aleksandar Vucic, the President of Serbia, is a regular guest at Blic's birthday parties.

In August 2023, Drakulić Petrović became the owner of the weekly NIN, which was previously owned by Ringier. He now owns 99 per cent of the shares in the weekly, while the rest belongs to the founders and honorary owners.
